Think Big!

"Sing, barren woman, who has never had a baby.
Fill the air with song, you who've never experienced childbirth!
You're ending up with far more children
than all those childbearing women." God says so!
"Clear lots of ground for your tents!
Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big!"
~ Isaiah 54:1-2 ~

Are you asking God for a BIG miracle?

God showed us BIG things when He did His miracles in the Bible. Whenever a company wants to promote a product they “think BIG”! OUR GOD IS BIG!!! Have you thought about that this week? One of my favorite verses on asking BIG is:

“Now to Him who is ___________ to do ___________ more than all we ask or ___________” Ephesians 3:20A

I think we all know God is able, but maybe we have asked for BIG things in the past and He didn’t answer like we wanted Him to, so now we ask small or maybe not at all.

The second part of that verse is:

“according to His ___________ that is at ___________ within us.” Ephesians 3:20B

I would like you to think about what you are asking God for and your motives. Is it to glorify you or God? Ephesians 3:21 says, “To Him be glory in the ___________ and in Christ Jesus throughout ___________ generations, for ___________ and ___________, Amen.”

Whenever God does a miracle it is to bring Him glory, not you but Him. We need to tell of these miracles and give God glory for our BIG miracles because when God does it, it is BIG. What is a miracle? Birth is a miracle but happens all the time so we just expect it. Every breath we take is a miracle but we do it everyday. These are BIG!!!

I remember growing up in church and we would have “testimony time”. I remember standing up and just saying, “I thank God for saving my soul.” Salvation is a BIG miracle!!! Sad to say but we don’t hear people get real excited about salvation today. Are we asking God for BIG salvations for our family or hoping some other family member will take care of it?

When I think BIG I think of the cross. Jesus died for me. Jesus died for you. Now that is BIG!!!

Dear Father,
I, ___________, am asking you to forgive me of all my sins. I believe in you and thank you for the miracle of the cross. Please help me to live and trust in you. Amen.
