Day 5

Reward

“Seeking God’s face” means that we desire to have audience with God, to enter His presence. It is more than a casual or familiar entrance. When we are invited in Hebrews 4:17 to boldly or confidently enter God’s presence, we must understand the God we are approaching—and to give to Him the honor, glory, and praise due His holy name. How casual and even demanding we sometimes can be. We must be careful to cause God’s face to turn to us through sincere praise and adoration to Him. As His face is turned toward us, we have His attention and He is attentive to our heart’s cry. This is an awesome reward of our prayer. His face turning to the daughter He loves.

E.M. Bounds said, “The prayers of God’s saints are the capital stock in heaven by which Christ carries on His great work upon earth. The great throes and mighty convulsions on earth are the results of these prayers. Earth is changed, revolutionized; angels move on more powerful…and God’s policy is shaped as the prayers are more numerous, more efficient.” Through your prayers you are releasing God’s omnipotence, His all-powerfulness, into your life, your circumstances, and into the lives of those you are praying for. What a reward—God is using our prayers to have His will done on earth.

“Prayer is not a benign, feel-good, stress-relieving exercise. Prayer releases the power of God to change the circumstances of earth.” –Jennifer Kennedy Dean You are a world changer by causing God’s Hand to move on behalf of your prayers. Jesus turns His ear to us when we say His name. He will give us His full attention.

God desires, to bless you “beyond what you can even ask or think”. When you pray He sees your obedience and will lavish His love and blessings on you. Beth Moore puts it this way, “I have been greatly blessed. God has made me what I most certainly am not, and given me what I have not.” JESUS LOVES YOU AND IS VERY PROUD OF YOU! He is changing you to look like He looks, act like He acts, and love like He loves. The plan and destiny God has for your life is being activated—live it out in His strength.
