Oh, I have many, many things to be thankful for. I have a husband that I love and that loves me. I have wonderful, loving parents. I have fabulous friends. My husband and I have three furry children, who we love more than two people should love their pets. We both have jobs that we love to go to everyday. We attend a church that we love to belong to. We have a beautiful home and just an all around great life together. The list could go on and on.
But tonight I am feeling most thankful to be a daughter of the King. I am a sinner saved by grace. I deserved death. He gave me life. I definitely don't deserve heaven. There is not one thing I can do in and of myself on the face of this earth to get closer to achieving the ultimate goal of heaven. But through Jesus' act of sacrificial love on the cross, I have been given the promise of eternal life, eternity spent with Him! And so have you!!! And we haven't been given some "okay" life. Nope, we have been given "real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of" (John 10:10b, The Message). That is the life we have been given through Jesus, more and better! Don't those three words alone make you want to thank Him?!? MORE AND BETTER!!!
So, tonight I am thankful.
